Hello! Here is the art of non city living. I live on a farm, and I’m a true advocate of life beyond the urban sprawl. With my wonderful husband Rob and our charming 8-year-old, Addy, we live on a rural farm where we breed Wagyu and manage a coastal real estate business. I have a deep passion for both coastal and country living, seamlessly blending the tranquility of the countryside with the invigorating spirit of the seaside. My approach to life is rooted in simplicity and authenticity, drawing inspiration from the natural world. Whether I’m curating a cozy, boho-chic interior or savouring the fresh bounty from our garden and the sea, I embody the art of non-city living, where every moment is a celebration of nature’s beauty and life’s simple pleasures.
My preferred style of home reflects this ethos, favoring designs that harmonize with their natural surroundings. I gravitate towards homes with open floor plans that invite the outside in, featuring large windows that frame picturesque views of the ocean or rolling hills. I appreciate the timeless charm of weathered wood, the elegance of Hamptons-style architecture, and the cozy warmth of country cottages. Each home I design or inhabit is a testament to my belief that a house should be a sanctuary, a place where one can truly unwind and connect with nature.
As a connoisseur of non-city living, I’ve mastered the art of creating spaces that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. My interiors often showcase a mix of modern and vintage elements, reflecting my eclectic taste and love for blending different styles. From, above country modern, to below coastal. Whether it’s a sleek, minimalist kitchen or a plush, inviting living room adorned with rustic touches, every detail is carefully considered to enhance the home’s overall ambiance.
In our gardens, I find joy in growing our own vegetables, herbs, and flowers, cultivating a sustainable lifestyle that nourishes both body and soul. I often incorporate outdoor living spaces into my home designs, with expansive decks, patios, and gardens that serve as extensions of the indoor living areas. These spaces are perfect for entertaining guests or simply enjoying a quiet moment with a cup of tea, surrounded by the soothing sounds of nature.
My dedication to non-city living is more than just a lifestyle choice; it’s a philosophy that embraces the beauty of the natural world and the serenity it brings. My homes are sanctuaries of peace and comfort, where every detail is a reflection of my love for the simple, unhurried pace of life outside the city.
